Greetings Brothers,

The Newark Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi is spearheading a drive to acquire an official New Jersey State “Kappa” license plates. To accomplish this task the State of New Jersey requires that:

• The group is a nonprofit community based organization.
• Pay a $12,500 initial set up fee.
• The organization presents a petition with five hundred (500) valid New Jersey vehicle license holders’ signatures at the time of the application.
• Petition signatures cannot have any driving violations issued within the past three (3) years.

To make this happen we are seeking the support from all Kappa Alpha Psi members that are in good standing with the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles. We are asking for a fee of $35.00.

• $25.00 – will go towards the set up fee.
• $10.00 – donation to the Newark Kappa Guide Right and Scholarship Foundation.

Brothers this is a fund raiser that allows you to not only contribute to a great cause but also gives you a permanent durable and personalized piece of paraphernalia. The license plate with documentation will serve as your valid New Jersey registration.

You will have to pay your regular New Jersey vehicle registration fees at the time of its scheduled annual renewal. Brothers, please do not call the Division of Motor Vehicle. All applications for the license plate will come through Brother George Stanley of the Newark Alumni Chapter as he is the official coordinator of this initiative. The “# # # #” indicates a four (4) digit number that will be assigned to each individual plate.

Brothers, this license plate is personalized for an organization NOT for individual purposes. Therefore, no other information will be allowed on the plate. It was designed within the Guidelines of the State of New Jersey Departmaent of Motor Vehicles.
